This event is organised by the students and staff at the University of Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire Wildlife trust and Cheltenham Borough Council.
Emily Sparkes - Vice Chair and Website Design
I am an undergraduate in my second year studying Ecology and Environmental Science. I have a passion for adventure and am aiming for a career within the conservation sector.
Simon Loughran - Chair
I'm a first year Animal Biology student who's returned to university after many years working as a strange blend of software developer and running coach. My main interest is behavioural ecology and my ultimate goal is to carry out research in this area.
Becky Hallsworth -
Vice Chair
I am a second year student studying Ecology & Environmental Science. I'm a charismatic, organised student with a thirst for conservation and ecology. I am looking forward to the event and getting an idea of what species are in our local area.
Charlie Mansfield - Vice Chair
I am a first year Ecology & Environmental Science Student with a strong interest in evolutionary science and taxonomy. I am looking forward to discovering more about the place where I live through the BioBlitz and hope it is successful in engaging the wider community and fostering an interest in their local environments.
Amy Cotton - Website Design and Social Media
I am a second year student studying Ecology & Environmental Science. I'm an outgoing individual who loves working in a team with an interest in a career in Ecology. I am excited to work with the BioBlitz by raising awareness of the event to make it a success for this year and hopefully more years to come!

Survey Coordinator
I'm an enthusiastic 2nd year Ecology & Environmental science student. I am passionate about looking after our planet and a keen dinosaur lover with an obsession of collecting fossils. I am thrilled to be apart of this years BioBlitz as a Survey Coodinator, it'll defiantly be the best one yet.
Sam Macvie -Secretary
I'm a third year student studying Biology (BSc) with an interest in birds, bats and bryophytes. I was involved in the previous university-organised bioblitz two years prior as vice-chair and have volunteered and worked for local wildlife trusts. I would like to enter a career focused on conserving Britain's wildlife.
Thomas Crosby - Survey Coordinator
I am a second year student studying Ecology and Environmental Science. I am interested in all things wild with a love for practical fieldwork and identification, hoping for a future in Conservation and Ecology.
Layla Mabrouk - Outreach Guru and Volunteer Coordinator
I’m a second year Ecology & Environmental Science student with a keen interest in climate change and global sustainability. I’m excited for the BioBlitz to get local people involved and to learn about the biodiversity of Pitville Park.

I am a second year Animal Biology student. My main interest is wildlife conservation and hope to pursue a career in this area.
